Initial Title Inspection

The North Carolina DMV (per Form MVR-55A) may require some vehicles to file for a new title. This requirement may apply to custom built vehicles, the original title is lost, or when a vehicle from out of state is to be registered in North Carolina without the proper documentation. 

 

North Carolina requires two appraisals by Licensed Auto Appraisers for the application of an Initial Title. The value of your vehicle is then based off of the higher of the two appraisals.
